Scholarship opportunities

 The European AIDS Clinical Society is committed to ensuring that the 20th European AIDS Conference is accessible to a diverse network of experts. To support this commitment, we offer scholarship opportunities to HIV healthcare professionals and community members.

Scholarship applications are now open and close on 12 June 2025.

Notifications will be sent on 24 July 2025.

Eligibility and Selection Criteria

To ensure maximum impact and equity, priority will be given to:

  • Abstract presenters selected for EACS 2025.
  • Applicants from low- and middle-income countries, particularly Eastern and Central Europe.
  • Early-career clinicians who have never attended an EACS Conference.
  • Applicants who have not previously received an EACS scholarship.

 

Scholarships are available for the following categories of professionals:

  • Clinicians
  • Public Health Experts
  • Community Representatives & Allied Professionals

 

Applicants are required to demonstrate:

  • How their participation in the 20th European AIDS Conference will benefit their work and their community.
  • Their plans for sharing the knowledge gained with colleagues and institutions in their region.
  • How they will implement best practices from the Conference in their professional setting.
  • Their commitment and active involvement in HIV/AIDS care and research.

Scholarship Application & Selection Process

Scholarship applications will be processed via the EACS Scholarship Platform. Each application will be reviewed by at least two members of the Scientific and Programme Committee.

Scholarship types include:

  • Full scholarships – Covers registration, participation in air or rail travel (max 500 €), and accommodation along with online platform and app access.
  • Partial scholarship – Covers registration and accommodation OR participation in air or rail travel (max 500 €), or registration only.

 

All applications must be submitted in English and are treated confidentially.

Please note that, given the limited number of scholarships available, applicants are strongly encouraged to also seek other sources of funding.
